DUKE vs TN girls in Knoxville 2009

What a great night, my BFF Ava and I had at the DUKE vs TN girls basketball game. We laughed and cheered for our teams and yes I was sitting in the middle of TN fans. We were all given free t-shirts for breast cancer awareness. Ours was white and others were pink. It was done for the memory of Coach Yow NC State women's coach who died a few weeks ago from cancer. The papers said it was her 4th bout.

I, of course, got pics made at the DUKE end of the arena.....love those bluedevils

Each team decorated their uniforms with pink

Just to show I was actually there and had great seats.......even if I did get razzed some. In the end DUKE prevailed....YOU GO GIRLS!

Just a shot of the crowd and the shirts.
Ava and I had a great girls night out.
Thanks Hubby's for taking care of everything while we bonded even more.

Evening thoughts

December 14 was an awesome day. For the first time all our families were in the Lord's house. It was to share in an innocent's profession of faith. Not religion profession but one of faith. Rodney and I cannot begin to really explain how incedible it was for us to watch our daughter be emersed that morning. Even now, I get misty eyed thinking about it.

What a cute family! That morning was so special. Kaitlynn loves Pastor Paul. He is the executive pastor. He tells her every Sunday that she is his 2nd favorite red head (his wife Connie is also a red). She has only wanted him to do this for her.

Just so you know she is hanging on every word he is saying to her. The first time they talked about baptism, he sat her on the edge of the baptistry after service and talked to her, even dipped his finger into the warm water and explained to her that it was just like her bath water. She had that same look of wonder then. I always regretted that I did not have a pic of that.....til now.
What a great moment to be sharing giggles with him right after, they have such a special friendship. Thanks Paul.
One final note: Please hold dear all who lost their lives in the Buffalo plane crash and their families. My heart goes out to them and their families as the try to wrap their minds and hearts around this tragedy. Also for all the DMORT and NTSB team members who will doing their best to retrieve and return these lost loved ones to their families. God Bless
With all my love tonight,
Lynnette
